Raise A Sharp Success
A brand new octet within the chorus, Raise A Sharp, came second at the Bournemouth Music Festival on their first ever public performance, gaining a Distinction. There was fierce competition from other, much more experienced, groups. The adjudicator described them as 'Top Notch'.
The Temperance Seven
Christchurch Music Festival kicks off with the world famous Temperance Seven and guess who's supporting them? We are! The band had a string of chart successes, notably with "You're Driving Me Crazy", which was Sir George Martin's first ever number one hit, and followed that with other top ten hits like "Home in Pasadena", "The Charleston", "Hard Hearted Hannah" and "The Black Bottom".
Back from Sunny Spain
Wow! What a great few days that was! Lots of singing, socialising and sitting in the warm sun. Being bribed with Sangria to sing in restaurants was a particular highlight which we all took advantage of.
Thank you SABS for organising such a great event.
Concert at Christchurch Priory in aid of the Samaritans raises £3,254
What a fabulous evening of music, sharing the stage with the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir the Orlando Singers and Fiona Aucott. The finale of all the choirs, nearly 100 singers, performing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus was amazing. Best of all, we raised £3,254

A We are an enthusiastic group of women, drawn from all walks of life, who love to sing and perform. The choir comprises more than thirty singers and we have two quartets and an octet too!
A We sing popular songs from across the years. Show songs, jazz classics and modern pop songs — all in four part close harmony.
A We sing in all sorts of places for all sorts of reasons. Recently we have sung in Wimborne Minster, Stourhead Gardens and, one of our favourites, the Ringwood Brewery's Christmas concert!
A No! Most members of the choir don't read music, we learn our songs from specially recorded teach tracks.
See our contact form below.
A Yes, there is. We give you a song to learn and allow you plenty of time and help to become familiar with it. Remember, we really want you to pass and, if you can sing in tune, you probably will.
A The choir rehearse every Tuesday 7.30 — 10.00 pm at
Canford Heath Community Centre,
